Carlos Verona aka. Patikas
Carlos's biography
Despite being in his fourth season with the team, Carlos still is one of the youngest members of the team. Last year, he began racing early, at the Dubai Tour, and put an end to his season in October, with the Abu Dhabi Tour. Between these two, he raced and completed the Vuelta a España – where he notched two top 10 placings – and Il Lombardia, the year’s fifth and final Monument, a race in which he put on another strong display.
A very good climber with solid time trialing skills, Carlos will continue to grow and develop in 2016, while also continuing his marketing studies at the University of Catalonia: “The end of the season was a great one, with important results for my progression and confidence. I improved a lot my climbing last year with the help of Etixx – Quick-Step, so I want to focus on Grand Tours. I also want to work on my time trial and be as complete as possible.”
