Paris-Tours: Niki Terpstra 10th in bunch sprint

Omega Pharma - Quick-Step Cycling Team rider Niki Terpstra finished 10th in Paris-Tours today. The race ended in a bunch sprint after 235 kilometres.

A group of 4 riders animated the race. They took a lead of more than 10 minutes, but were caught in the finale. First by a chase group including OPQS rider Martin Velits and in the final 10 kilometres everything came back togetheer. Niki Terpstra and Sylvain Chavanel tried their luck with some attacks, but were reeled in quickly.

Jetse Bol (Belkin) was the last escapee who got caught with 300 metres to go. John Degenkolb (Argos) won the race beating Michael Morkov (Saxo Bank) and Arnaud Demare (FDJ). Terpstra finished 10th, just in front of team mate Chavanel who finished 12th in his last race for OPQS. Pieter Serry ended 15th.
